About Weisslines

Weisslines represents fashion-forward flooring and fine-finish products to the architectural and design community. The company's founding partners are Amy and Lou Weiss, whose strong backgrounds in the commercial flooring and retail home furnishings businesses have served clients and customers throughout the United States. As former partners in Pittsburgh-based Weisshouse, they helped build a local family carpet store into one of the nation's leading home stores. Amy guided the design staff and coordinated residential and commercial projects. Lou oversaw the marketing and advertising, served as primary sales person, and often vacuumed the showroom.

Major suck-ups to the A&D community as dealers and more recently as product reps, they have sold or supervised some of the largest regional projects in recent years, including the largest and second-largest "green" buildings in the world -- the Raphael Vignoly-designed Pittsburgh Convention Center and the PNC Operations Center. More recent Weisslines projects include the replacement of carpeting at PNC Park (baseball's Pirates) and Heinz Field (football's Steelers), as well as the Hillman Cancer Center. Each of those projects utilized Bentley Prince Street carpeting, the main squeeze of Weisslines.

Having managed every aspect of large negotiated and bid jobs, Amy and Lou, as manufacturers' reps, bring a profound understanding of the various goals of designer, supplier, dealer and end user. Being deciduous tree huggers, they feature products that are easy on the earth. Knowing that if the project looks good, you look great, Weisslines puts the leading-edge flooring and finish products in your hands and under your clients' feet.
